The men's soccer team was defeated by Kean College, 1-0, on Monday afternoon in Staten Island, NY. The Bloodhounds fall to 4-8 on the season. The Cougars improve to 8-4-1 overall.

The lone goal of the game came in the 29th minute when Kean's Sevag Kherlopian scored off a rebound. The visitors took 23 shots in the contest and senior Vitecha Kochaon recorded seven saves. John Jay was led by freshman Korede Griffith, who finished with two shots and one shot on goal.

The Bloodhounds had a opportunity to tie it but senior Graysen Carlson blasted a shot off the crossbar.

The Bloodhounds host Medgar Evers College on Wednesday, October 8, for a conference match starting ta 4pm at Randall's Island Field 75.
