Women's Basketball Falls to Brooklyn College

The women's basketball team lost to Brooklyn College, 74-53, on Saturday afternoon at the Doghouse. The Bloodhounds fall to 0-5 on the season and 0-2 in the CUNY Athletic Conference. The Bulldogs improve to 3-3 overall and 2-0 in the CUNYAC. 

The Bloodhounds were led by junior Terri Chu and sophomore Brianna Cunningham. Chu recorded a team-high 15 points, four rebounds, and one steal. Cunningham finished with her third double-double in five games, with 13 points, 10 rebounds, and two steals. Senior Amanda Jimenez registered seven rebounds, six points, and a team-high three assists. Senior Aneska Tejada swiped a game-high three steals. 

John Jay went 16-for-59 (27.1%) from the floor and 8-for-21 (38.1%) from behind the arc. In comparison, Brooklyn shot 39.7% from the field and 30.4% from three. The Bulldogs were led by Vanessa D'Ambrosi, who scored a game-high 24 points and nine rebounds. 

The Bloodhounds host CCNY for Homecoming on Tuesday, December 9, at 5pm.
