The Rifle team won their seventh annual Big Apple Championship, 2229-2151, over SUNY Maritime on Saturday morning in the Marksmanship Facility. The Bloodhounds improve to 6-3 in MAC Air Rifle and remain at 4-4 in smallbore. 

Sophomore Ronald Kopec led all shooters with a score of 572. Finishing in second for the Bloodhounds was sophomore Angelica DeAraujo with a 557. Senior Elisa Dunn finished right behind DeAraujo with a 555. Rounding out the top five were Connie Villon and Suzana Djencic with a 545 and 544, respectively. 

During the match, the Athletics Department honored its two seniors, David Vegvari and Elisa Dunn, who were competing in their last home match of their collegiate career. 

The Bloodhounds travel to Philadelphia on Friday, January 30, 2015.
