The men's basketball team defeated Medgar Evers, 56-45, on Wednesday evening at the Doghouse. The Bloodhounds are back at .500 in the CUNYAC with a 7-7 record and 9-14 overall record. The Cougars drop to 2-21 overall and 1-13 in the conference.
Junior
Korede Griffith led all John Jay scorers with 16 points to go along with a game-high seven steals and six assists. Griffith continues to lead the country in steals and steals per game. Senior
Antoine Long nailed five three-pointers, good for 15 points. Senior
Oshea Alexander picked up a season-high 18 rebounds (eight offensive) and a game-high four blocks. Sophomore
Kendal Jordan registered eight points, five rebounds, and two steals.
Cougars' Ismael Arriazza recorded a team-high 16 points and Khalid Yousef contributed with 11 points, seven rebounds, and three steals. Valin Williams picked up 14 rebounds and three blocks.
The Bloodhounds will travel to Lehman College on Friday, February 14, for a conference game at 7pm.
