Men's Volleyball Powers Past Yeshiva University 3-0

The men's volleyball team defeated Yeshiva University, 3-0 (25-20, 26-24, 25-21), in their final home game of 2014 on Wednesday evening at the Doghouse. The Bloodhounds improve to 6-12 on the season and remain at 2-9 in the CUNY Athletic Conference. The Maccabees fall to 7-11 overall.

Sophomore Nicholas Anderson recorded 26 assists, seven kills, three service aces, and two digs. Sophomore Jack Palleschi registered a game-high 11 kills, five digs, and a game-high four blocks. Senior Yevgeniy Remennik picked up double-digit kills with 10, to go along with five digs and three service aces. Freshman Carmelo Cintron Jr. finished with a team-high eight digs. Sophomore Francisco Miranda added seven digs and three service aces. Junior Korede Griffith had six kills and five digs. 

Yeshiva's Jared Rechnitz finished with a team-high seven kills and eight digs. Adam Rhodes dished out 17 assists and Eliakim Gartenberg registered a team-high two service aces and two blocks.

Before the game, the Athletics Department honored Yevgeniy Remennik for his final home match of his collegiate career.  

The Bloodhounds will head to Baruch College on Saturday, March 29, for a CUNYAC Multi-Match against York College at 10:00am and CCNY at 12:00pm.
