Men's Soccer Falls to Brooklyn College after Leading in Second Half

The men's soccer team couldn't hold on to a second half lead against Brooklyn College and fell, 2-1, on Saturday in Brooklyn, NY. The Bloodhounds drop to 0-7 in 2014 and 0-1 in the conference. The Bulldogs improve to 2-5 overall and 1-0 in the CUNYAC.

In the first forty-five minutes, neither team could find the back of the net. Brooklyn outshot John Jay 7-3 in the half. Junior Andrew Berman made two saves.

In the second half, senior Graysen Carlson netted the first goal of the game on an assist by senior Pablo Rojas. Eleven minutes later, Brooklyn tied it up at one apiece. Four minutes later, the hosts would take a 2-1 lead with 20 minutes left to play. Unfortunately, John Jay was unable to tie it and would go on to lose their first conference match of the season.

Junior Justin Osorio and Carlson registered two shots on goal each. Berman finished with three saves on the day.

The Bloodhounds head to Mount Saint Vincent on Monday, September 22, for a non-conference match at 4:30pm.
