The women's basketball team lost to the College of Staten Island, 93-38, on Wednesday evening on the campus of Staten Island. The Bloodhounds fall to 3-14 on the season and 3-8 in the CUNYAC. The Dolphins improve to 11-8 overall and 8-2 in the conference.
Sophomore
Brianna Cunningham led the Bloodhounds with a team-high 16 points and nine rebounds. Freshman
Victoria Royal grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds and had a team-high two blocks. Sophomore
Josephine Diaz registered nine points, three rebounds, and two steals. Senior
Aneska Tejada recorded five rebounds and two steals. Juniors
Terri Chu and
Amber Villegas dished out two assists each.
John Jay finished shooting 11-for-53 (20.8%) from the field. The Dolphins shot 37-for-71 (52.1%) from the floor.
The Bloodhounds will end their road trip on Friday, January 30, when they face the Hunter Hawks at 5 pm.
