The men's soccer team lost to City College (CCNY), 2-1, on Senior Day on Saturday afternoon at Randall's Island. The Bloodhounds drop to 5-10 on the season and 3-4 in the CUNY Athletic Conference. The Beavers improve to 6-7 on the year and 3-3 in the conference.
The first seventeen minutes of the first half were quiet as both teams minimized any scoring chances. In the 18th minute, a Beaver was tripped in the box and executed on the penalty lkick to give the guests an early 1-0 lead.

Graysen Carlson, who buried it into the back of the net for his 16th goal of the season. The score remained 1-1 at the half with each team firing five shots. Junior
Sehad Mujovic once again got the start in goal and made two saves in the half.
Both teams had changes in the early part of the second half but could not capitalize. In the 83rd minute, a CCNY forward was tripped in the box to give the Beavers another penalty shot. Once again, CCNY converted and took a 2-1 lead late in the game.
John Jay increased the pressure but could not find a way to send the game into overtime. Mujovic finished with five saves.
The Bloodhounds travel to Lehman College on Wednesday, October 21, for a key conference match at 4:00 pm.
