The men's soccer team lost to St. Joseph's Long Island, 1-0 in overtime, on Friday night in Patchogue, NY. The Bloodhounds end the regular season with a 6-11 overall record and 4-4 CUNY Athletic Conference record. The Eagles improve to 7-10-1 on the season.
The first half was even as both teams recorded five shots each. Junior
Sehad Mujovic made two saves in the first forty-five minutes.
St. Joseph's Long Island controlled most of the second half as the host's registered nine shots and four corner kicks. John Jay had four shots and Mujovic recorded two saves.
In the overtime period, the Eagles scored 3:30 in to record the non-conference victory. Senior
Graysen Carlson led the team with two shots on goal.
The Bloodhounds enter the CUNYAC tournament as the fifth seed. John Jay will face #4 Baruch College on Wednesday, October 28, at 6:00 pm at Randall's Island Field 10.
