The men's soccer team lost to the College of Staten Island, 3-0, on Monday afternoon in Staten Island, NY. The Bloodhounds fall to 3-8 overall and 2-2 in CUNYAC. The Dolphins improve to 5-6-1 overall and 4-0-1 in the conference.
Seven minutes into the first half, the hosts got on the scoreboard to take an early 1-0 lead. Neither team found the back of the net in the remaining 38 minutes. For the half, sophomore
Daniel Hoyte recorded six saves and John Jay did not register a shot on goal.
Staten Island quickly increased its lead to two in the second half. They added an insurance goal and would go on to win 3-0.
CSI outshot the Bloodhounds 19-7. Senior
Graysen Carlson led John Jay with three shots and two shots on goal. Hoyte finished with seven saves.
The Bloodhounds are back in action when they travel to Medgar Evers College on Wednesday, October 7, at 3:30 pm.
