The women's soccer team lost to New Jersey City University, 4-1, on Wednesday afternoon in Jersey City, NJ. The Bloodhounds fall to 1-7-2 overall. The Gothic Knights improve to 4-6-1.

Katelyn Davis scored her first goal of the season on a takeaway.
Two minutes later, the hosts regained the lead and took a 2-1 advantage heading into halftime. Senior
Andrea Antoni made six saves and sophomore
Kelli Doherty had three. NJCU outshot the Bloodhounds, 19-5.
In the second half, the Gothic Knights added two insurance goals. John Jay was unable to find the back of the net and would go on to lose 4-1. For the match, NJCU outshot John Jay 32-10.
Asia Shkreli led the Bloodhounds with a team-high four shots and team-high two shots on goal. Doherty finished with 11 saves.
The Bloodhounds host Medgar Evers College on Saturday, October 10, at 9:30 am at Randall's Island Field 45.
