Women's Soccer Defeats Yeshiva University on Senior Day

The women's soccer team shutout Yeshiva University, 1-0, on Sunday afternoon at Randall's Island. With the win, the Bloodhounds improve to 4-10-2 on the year. The Maccabees drop to 1-11 overall.

John Jay controlled much of the first half as the Bloodhounds outshot Yeshiva 6-3. The first forty-five minutes was scoreless. Senior Andrea Antoni made two saves.

Ten minutes into the second stanza, sophomore Camila Vasquez netted the first goal of the match on a pass from freshman May Dempsey. John Jay's defenders consistently cleared the zone to give Antoni her fourth shutout of the season.

Before the match, the Athletics Department honored seniors Andrea Antoni, Stephanie Caceres, Katelyn Davis, Amy Samayoa, and Camila Vasquez, who were playing in their final regular season home game of their collegiate career.
