The rifle team went 2-1 on Saturday afternoon at the United States Coast Guard Academy in New London, CT. The Bloodhounds defeated the USCGA in air rifle, 2306-2290, and Maritime College in smallbore, 2174-2067. John Jay lost to Coast Guard in smallbore, 2219-2174.
In air, freshman
Lily Graham led the Bloodhounds with a match-score high of 582. Juniors
Angelica DeAraujo and
Ronald Kopec tied for second on the team with a score of 578. Senior
Connie Villon registered a score of 568, good for fourth place. Junior
Suzana Adovic rounded out the top five with a 560.
In smallbore, Graham led the squad with a 560. Her score was tied for second best of all the teams. Kopec placed second with a score of 552. Tied for third were DeAraujo and senior
Matthew Pascual with a 531. Adovic finished in fifth with a 509.
The Bloodhounds travel to Maritime College on Saturday, December 5, for the annual Big Apple Championship.
