The women's basketball team defeated Medgar Evers College, 65-32, on Friday evening at the Doghouse. The Bloodhounds improve to 4-16 on the season and 4-10 in the CUNYAC. The Cougars fall to 1-21 overall and 0-13 in the conference. 

Sophomore Brianna Cunningham and freshman Victoria Royal recorded double-doubles for John Jay. Cunningham registered 14 points, 11 rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Royal recorded 10 points, 10 rebounds, and three steals. Sophomore Josephine Diaz had 14 points and three steals. Junior Terri Chu added 11 points and swiped a game-high four steals. Senior Aneska Tejada had seven points and six rebounds. Sophomore Claire Prince recorded five rebounds and junior Amber Villegas dished out two assists. 

John Jay had a 19-point advantage at the half. The Bloodhounds outscored the Cougars 33-19 in the second half. 

The Bloodhounds host the Cardinals of York College on Tuesday, December 10, at 5 pm. In their last meeting, John Jay won 74-71.
