The women's soccer team was shutout in their season opener, 6-0, against Gwynedd Mercy University on Tuesday evening in Gwynedd Valley, PA. The Bloodhounds start the season 0-1 while the Griffins improve to 1-0. 

Senior Andrea Antoni recorded a game-high seven saves in the first half. Sophomore Kelli Doherty started the second half in net and made two saves. 

Sophomore Alexis Castillo recorded John Jay's lone shot on goal. 

The Bloodhounds will look for their first win in their home opener on Saturday, September 5, when they host Morrisville State College at 3:45 pm.
