Antoni Makes 5 Saves as Women's Soccer Ties CCNY

The women's soccer team tied City College of New York (CCNY), 0-0, on Wednesday night at Randall's Island. The Bloodhounds are now 0-4-1 on the year and 0-0-1 in the CUNY Athletic Conference. The Beavers stand at 0-4-1 overall and 0-0-1 in the conference. 

In the first half, City College outshot John Jay 4-3. The Bloodhounds had the lone corner kick. Senior Andrea Antoni registered three saves in the first 45 minutes. 

John Jay dominated the second half with nine shots compared to the Beavers' one. Unfortunately, the Bloodhounds could not find the back of the net.

In the two overtime periods, John Jay recorded five shots and CCNY one. 

Senior Katelyn Davis, junior Maria Daniela Campodonico Rugel, sophomores Zola Campbell and Faith Howell, and freshman May Dempsey registered two shots on goal each. Davis finished with a game-high four shots. Antoni made five saves on the night.

The Bloodhounds host Brooklyn College on Monday, September 21, at 4:00 pm at Randall's Island Field 75.
