The women's volleyball team lost to Maritime College, 3-2 (25-20, 20-25, 25-18, 21-25, 15-13), on Tuesday evening on the campus of Maritime College. The Bloodhounds drop to 3-6 on the season. The Privateers improve to 5-6 overall.
Sophomore
Rachel Eng fell one service ace shy of a triple-double. The Germantown, MD native recorded 10 kills, a game-high nine aces, and a game-high 19 digs. Senior
Latanya Buckham registered a double-double with a team-high 16 kills and 10 digs. Junior
Katrina Zapanta dished out a team-high 32 assists to go along with six kills, six digs, and two aces. Sophomore
Savannah Davis finished with six kills, one ace, and 18 digs. Senior
Perla Pozo added 12 digs and freshman
Nyla Lloyd-Clarke picked up a game-high four blocks.
John Jay totaled 40 kills, 39 assists, 16 service aces, four blocks, and 68 digs.
The Bloodhounds travel to Dover, DE to face Wesley College on Saturday, September 26, at 1:00 pm.
