The women's basketball team fell to the College of Staten Island, 72-39, on Wednesday evening in Staten Island, NY. The Bloodhounds drop to 4-14 on the season and 2-9 in the CUNYAC. The Dolphins improve to 12-6 and 8-2 in the conference.
Freshman
Dana Nicholson recorded a career-high 13 points and three rebounds. Junior
Shaliyah Ruiz added 11 points, three assists, and a team-high two steals. Sophomore
Victoria Royal grabbed a game-high 14 rebounds and had two blocks. Freshman
Karen Rosario registered eight points, eight rebounds, and two blocks.
John Jay finished 16-for-49 (32.7%) from the field, 3-for-16 (18.8%) from behind the arc, and 4-for-7 (57.1%) from the free-throw line.
The Bloodhounds return to the Doghouse on Friday, January 29, to host Hunter College at 6:00 pm.
