The women's basketball team lost to the College of Staten Island, 82-47, on Tuesday evening in Staten Island, NY. The Bloodhounds drop to 0-5 overall and 0-1 in the CUNY Athletic Conference. The Dolphins improve to 3-2 overall and 1-0 in CUNYAC.

Claire Prince picked up her first double-double of the season with a team-high 14 points, a game-high 11 rebounds, and team-high two steals. Senior
Cassandra Taylor fell two rebounds shy of a double-double with 11 points, eight rebounds, and two assists. Sophomore
Karen Rosario recorded nine points, on 4-of-6 shooting, and four rebounds. Senior
Shaliyah Ruiz dished out a team-high three assists and freshmen

Kaitlin Koehler grabbed six boards each.
John Jay finished 18-for-53 (34.0%) from the field, 2-for-10 (20.0%) from behind the arc, and 9-for-15 (60.0%) from the free throw line.
