The women's basketball team fell to Lehman College, 84-45, on Saturday afternoon at the Doghouse. The Bloodhounds drop to 0-6 overall and 0-2 in CUNYAC. The Lightning improve to 3-2 and 2-0 in conference play.
Senior
Shaliyah Ruiz recorded her first double-double of the season with a team-high 19 points, a team-high 11 rebounds, a team-high five steals, and a team-high three assists. Freshman
Uju Nwaigwe fell one rebound shy of her first collegiate double-double with 10 points and nine rebounds. Sophomore
Karen Rosario grabbed 10 boards and senior
Claire Prince finished with six points and six rebounds.
Nwaigwe and Prince opened the game with back-to-back buckets but Lehman responded on a 19-0 run. John Jay went into halftime trailing 44-15.

John Jay went 17-for-74 (23.0%) from the field, 1-for-7 (14.3%) from behind the arc, and 10-for-12 (83.3%) from the free throw line.
