The softball team fell to Baruch College, 11-0 and 9-1, on Sunday afternoon at Randall's Island. The Bloodhounds drop to 4-7 on the season and 4-2 in CUNYAC. The Bearcats improve to 5-16 overall and 4-0 in the conference.
In game one, Baruch jumped out to an early 3-0 lead after the first. The hosts added five runs in the third and three in the fourth to take game one, 11-0. Junior

In game two, the Bloodhounds scored in the top of the first when junior
Jennifer Pace led off with a walk and stole second. Nicaj then singled to make it first and third. With two outs, Pellegrino came through with an RBI single.
Baruch responded in the bottom of the second to tie the game, 1-1. The Bearcats went up in the third, 4-1, and added to their lead after scoring one in the fifth and four in the sixth.
Nicaj went a perfect 3-for-3 from the plate and picked up a stolen base.
The Bloodhounds travel to Brooklyn College on Monday, April 11, for a non-conference doubleheader starting at 5:00 pm.
