The softball team fell to the College of Staten Island, 15-0 and 22-1, on Monday afternoon in Staten Island. The Bloodhounds drop to 5-14 overall and 4-6 in conference play. The Dolphins improve to 14-8 and 7-1 in CUNYAC.
In game one, CSI opened the scoring in the first three innings. Junior
Michelle Atiq picked up John Jay's lone hit. Sophomore
Lisa Pellegrino threw four innings.
In game two, the Bloodhounds got on the scoreboard in the top of the first. Junior
Jennifer Pace led off with a bunt single and with two outs, Pellegrino drove in Pace with an RBI double to left field. The Dolphins stormed back to lead after one full inning.
