The softball team fell to Western Connecticut State, 12-0 and 13-0, on Friday afternoon in Danbury, CT. The Bloodhounds drop to 7-16 on the year. The Colonials improve to 14-16 overall.
Western Connecticut opened the scoring in game one in the first two innings with 10 runs. Junior
Michelle Atiq had John Jay's lone hit in the contest.
In game two, the Colonials scored a combined 12 runs through three innings. Juniors
Jennifer Pace and
Lisbet Lorenzo, sophomore
Lisa Pellegrino, and freshman
Inelza Salcedo recorded hits for the Bloodhounds.
The Bloodhounds travel to the College of New Rochelle on Wednesday, April 27, for a non-conference doubleheader at 3:30 pm.
