The men's soccer team fell to the College of New Rochelle, 3-0, in their season opener on Thursday afternoon at Randall's Island.

Alexandros Taliotis made eight saves and kept John Jay in the game. Freshman
Michael DeMarco led John Jay with three shots and junior
Curtis Harbers finished with a team-high two shots on goal.
The first forty-five minutes were scoreless as both goalkeepers made key saves. The Blue Angels scored one minute into the second half and added to their lead in the 56th minute. They tacked on their final goal with 14 minutes left to play.
The win was New Rochelle's first in program history.
The Bloodhounds travel to Poultney, VT for a non-conference game against Green Mountain College on Saturday, September 3, at 4:00 pm.
