The men's soccer team lost to Brooklyn College, 2-0, on Wednesday afternoon in Brookyn, NY. The Bloodhounds fall to 2-9 overall and 1-2 in the conference. Brooklyn improves to 5-5-1 and 2-0-1 in CUNYAC.
The first half was scoreless as play was even. Brooklyn outshot John Jay 9-5 and the Bloodhounds held a 3-0 advantage in corner kicks. Junior
Alexandros Taliotis made four saves in the period.
Halfway through the second half, the hosts took a 1-0 lead. The Bulldogs added an insurance goal with seven minutes left to play.
Taliotis finished with seven saves. Sophomore
Steven Sanchez recorded a team-high two shots.
The Bloodhounds travel to Aviator Field on Saturday, October 1, at 11:00 am to take on York College.
