The women's basketball team fell to the College of Staten Island, 79-49, on Monday evening at the Doghouse. The Bloodhounds drop to 1-16 on the year and 1-8 in the CUNY Athletic Conference. The Dolphins improve to 13-4 overall and 8-1 in CUNYAC.

Cassandra Taylor led John Jay with a team-high 20 points, three rebounds, and three assists. Sophomore
Karen Rosario fell two points shy of a double-double with eight points, a team-high 10 rebounds, and a game-high two blocks. Senior
Claire Prince registered seven points, seven boards, and a team-high four steals. Freshman
Uju Nwaigwe grabbed eight rebounds.
John Jay went 19-for-54 (35.2%) from the floor, 5-for-18 (27.8%) from behind the arc, and 6-for-12 (50.0%) from the free throw line.
The Bloodhounds travel to Hunter College on Friday, January 20, for a conference game at 5:00 pm.
