The women's basketball team lost to City College, 77-55, on Wednesday evening at the Doghouse. The Bloodhounds drop to 2-18 overall and 1-10 in CUNYAC. The Beavers improve to 8-11 and 4-7 in conference play. 

Senior Cassandra Taylor led all scorers with a game-high 20 points to go along with four rebounds and four assists. Junior Dana Nicholson recorded 10 points, four boards, and two assists. Sophomore Karen Rosario registered 10 points, six rebounds, and a game-high three blocks. Freshman Uju Nwaigwe fell one point shy of a double-double with nine points and a team-high 11 rebounds. Senior Claire Prince added four assists and freshman Kaitlin Koehler had eight boards. 

John Jay went 20-for-65 (30.8%) from the field, 7-for-30 (23.3%) from behind the arc, and 8-for-13 (61.5%) from the charity stripe. 

The Bloodhounds head to Lehman College on Saturday, January 28, for a conference game at 1:00 pm.
