The women's soccer team defeated Sarah Lawrence, 2-0, on Monday night at Tibbetts Brook Park in Yonkers, NY. The Bloodhounds snapped its four-game losing streak to improve to 6-7 overall. The Gryphons drop to 4-6-1 on the season. 

The first forty-five minutes were scoreless as Sarah Lawrence outshout John Jay by a margin of 7-4. In the 58th minute, sophomore Camila Vasquez found the back of the net for the opening goal of the match. Eight minutes later, senior Alexis Castillo added an insurance goal for her first of the season. 

Goalkeeper Kelli Doherty recorded the victory and shutout. The senior now has four shutouts on the year. 

The Bloodhounds face CCNY on Saturday, October 14, for a conference match at 9:30 am at Randall's Island Field 73.
