The women's basketball team fell to the College of Saint Elizabeth, 71-39, on Friday evening at the Doghouse. The Bloodhounds drop to 0-2 on the season. The Eagles improve to 1-0.

Christianne Perez finished two rebounds shy of a double-double with a team-high 15 points and a team-high eight rebounds. Senior
Dana Nicholson recorded nine points and sophomore
Kaitlin Koehler had six points and six boards. Freshman
Jessica Gorman added seven points.
The first five minutes went back-and-forth as there were four lead changes. With the Bloodhounds leading 7-6, the visitors scored six straight before Perez made a three-pointer to cut the deficit to 12-10 after one. With the Eagles up 16-13, they followed on a 14-0 run to head into halftime with a 31-14 lead.
John Jay was outscored 15-7 in the third quarter. The Bloodhounds registered a quarter-high 18 points in the fourth.
John Jay finished 12-for-45 (26.7%) from the floor, 6-for-17 (35.3%) from behind the arc, and 9-for-19 (47.4%) from the free-throw line.
The Bloodhounds return to action on Tuesday, November 21, when they travel to St. Joseph's College Brooklyn at 5:00 pm.
