The softball team lost two games to Hunter College, 14-0 and 18-1, on Friday afternoon at Randall's Island. The Bloodhounds drop to 0-10 on the season and 0-2 in the CUNY Athletic Conference. The Hawks improve to 2-3 overall and 2-0 in conference play. 

In game one, Hunter scored four in both the first and second innings and six in the third. Junior Lisa Pellegrino pitched a complete game. Senior Michelle Atiq picked up John Jay's lone hit. 

In game two, the Hawks scored 14 runs in the fourth inning to break open the game. Pellegrino finished 2-for-3. Atiq, senior Lisbet Lorenzo, sophomore Yesenia Colindres, and freshman Marissa Artz (her first collegiate) all recorded hits. Sophomore Devika Prashad threw three innings and Jacqueline Cuateco pitched the final inning. 

The Bloodhounds travel to Rutgers-Camden on Tuesday, March 28, for a non-conference doubleheader starting at 3:00 pm.
