The baseball team defeated the United States Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA), 9-8, on Thursday afternoon in Kings Point, NY. The Bloodhounds improve to 3-9 on the year. The Mariners drop to 4-9 overall.

R.J. Davila recorded an RBI double. He later scored on a wild pitch to trim the lead to 6-5. USMMA added a run in the fifth to lead by two.

Jurrel Diaz smoked a double to drive in both runners to give the Bloodhounds their first lead of the game. In the bottom of the ninth, the Mariners scored one but junior
Christian Rodriguez came in to retire the final batter and record the save.
Hyde finished 2-for-4 with an RBI, run, and two stolen bases. Diaz was 1-for-2 with two RBI's, two walks, and a run scored. Laudano picked up a pair of RBI's. Davila and sophomore
C.J. Meyer both finished 1-for-3 with two runs scored. Freshman
Danny Wynne registered the victory after throwing 2.2 innings.
