The softball team lost two games to the College of New Rochelle, 13-4 and 10-0, on Monday evening in New Rochelle, NY. The Bloodhounds drop to 3-13 overall. The Blue Angels improve to 8-2.
In game one, junior
Lisa Pellegrino and freshman
Jessica Barbaria recorded an RBI each to give John Jay an early 2-0 lead in the top of the first. New Rochelle scored three in the bottom half and added to their lead in the third inning with six runs. Trailing by seven, John Jay scored two runs in the fourth. The Blue Angels plated four in the bottom of the frame.
In the second game, CNR scored one in the third and nine in the fourth. Freshman
Marissa Artz picked up John Jay's lone hit.
The Bloodhounds host the College of Mount Saint Vincent on Wednesday, April 12, at 3:30 pm at Randall's Island.
