The softball team lost two games to the College of Mount St. Vincent, 9-0 and 14-6, on Wednesday afternoon at Randall's Island. The Bloodhounds fall to 3-15 on the season. The Dolphins improve to 14-8.
In game one, junior
Lisa Pellegrino went 2-for-2. Senior
Jennifer Pace picked up a hit and drew a walk. Sophomore
Devika Prashad threw a complete game. Mount St. Vincent broke open the game in the second inning with six runs.
In the second game, freshman
Jessica Barbaria finished 3-for-3. Pace and freshman
Marissa Artz recorded two hits each. Pellegrino threw five innings and allowed three earned runs. The Dolphins opened the game with 11 runs in the top of the first. John Jay scored four in the final frame.
The Bloodhounds travel to Sarah Lawrence College on Thursday, April 13, for a non-conference doubleheader starting at 4:00 pm.
