The baseball team lost two games, 7-1 and 7-3, to Baruch College on Sunday afternoon at MCU Park in Coney Island, NY. The Bloodhounds drop to 11-22 on the season. The Bearcats improve to 15-17.
In game one, Baruch jumped out to an early 4-0 lead in the first. In the bottom of the second, sophomore
Brandon Thomas delivered a two-out RBI single to center field to put the Bloodhounds on the scoreboard. The Bearcats added one in the fourth and two in the seventh.
Freshman
Danny Wynne threw 6.1 innings in relief and allowed five hits, three runs, two walks, and struck out two. Senior

Jurrel Diaz recorded two hits each.
Just like the first game, the guests plated three runs in the first inning of game two. In the bottom half of the inning, junior
Zach Hyde led off with a double and advanced to third on a stolen base. Davila brought home Hyde on an RBI ground out. In the bottom of the third, senior
Michael Wang led off with a walk and Hyde followed with a single. A double steal created second and third with no outs. Junior
Brian Garcia brought home Wang with an RBI fielder's choice to cut the deficit to 3-2 after three full innings.
Baruch responded in the fourth with two runs. In the bottom of the fifth with the bases loaded, senior
Brian Cabral drilled a line drive right to the shortstop for a double play. The Bearcats added two insurance runs in the seventh to go up 7-2. In the last frame, Garcia registered an RBI triple to right center field to score junior
Christian Rodriguez.
Hyde went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases. Garcia knocked in two runs and senior
Charlee Rodriguez drew two walks. Freshman
Sean Napier got the start and pitched six innings, allowing seven hits and three earned runs.
Before the doubleheader, the Athletics Department honored seniors
