The softball team recorded 33 runs and 26 hits in a doubleheader sweep over Brooklyn College on Wednesday evening in Brooklyn, NY. The Bloodhounds took the first game, 18-7, and completed the sweep in game two, 15-2. John Jay improves to 3-11 overall and 3-3 in the CUNY Athletic Conference. The Bulldogs drop to 2-8 on the year.
In game one, the Bloodhounds scored one in the top of the first but Brooklyn responded with four of their own. John Jay fought back to plate six in the second to take a 7-4 advantage. John Jay broke open the game in the top of the seventh by scoring seven runs.

Ashley Quinones finished 3-for-4 with three runs scored and two RBI's. Senior
Jennifer Pace scored three times and picked up a stolen base. Pellegrino registered the win in the circle after pitching 5.1 innings and allowing three runs while striking out a season-high nine.
In game two, both teams scored two runs in the first inning. The Bloodhounds followed to plate eight in the second and five in the third.
Jacqueline Cuateco got the start and registered her first win of the season. The sophomore pitched a complete game, allowing four hits, two runs, and struck out a season-high five. Pellegrino went 2-for-3 with a triple, four RBI's, and two runs. Barbaria finished 3-for-4 with three RBI's and a run scored. Senior
Lisbet Lorenzo added two hits, two RBI's, and a stolen base. Quinones swiped three bases and scored two runs. Sophomore
Inelza Salcedo had one hit, two RBI's, one run, and drew two walks.
The Bloodhounds face York College on Friday, April 7, for a conference doubleheader at 3:30 pm at Padavan Preller Field.
