The men's soccer team tied Brooklyn College, 0-0, on Saturday afternoon at Randall's Island. With the draw, the Bloodhounds are now 4-7-1 on the season and 3-2-1 in CUNYAC play. The Bulldogs are now 3-12-1 and 3-3-1 in the conference.
John Jay dominated much of the 110 minutes. In the first half, the Bloodhounds outshot Brooklyn by a margin of 11-2. In the second period, John Jay led the shot category 9-6.
In regulation, sophomore
Steven Towler made four saves.
John Jay intensified the pressure in both overtime periods but could not find the back of the net to end in a 0-0 draw.
Freshman
Peter Ceesay led John Jay with a match-high six shots. Freshman
Joey Licciardi finished with three shots on goal.
The Bloodhounds continue conference play with a match against Hunter College on Wednesday, October 17, at 3:30 pm at Randall's Island Field 70.
