The men's soccer team fought back to top Hunter College, 4-3, in a wild affair on Wednesday afternoon at Randall's Island. With the win, the Bloodhounds improve to 5-7-1 overall and 4-2-1 in the CUNY Athletic Conference. The Hawks drop to 4-8-2 and 3-3-2 in the conference.
Hunter scored two goals in the first 25 minutes to lead 2-0. In the 35th minute, freshman
Arda Yazici stole the ball from the goalkeeper and slid it past the goal line to cut the deficit to 2-1 heading into halftime. John Jay outshot the hosts by a margin of 7-5 in the opening half.
One minute into the second period, the Hawks tallied a goal to increase their advantage to 3-1. Approximately 15 minutes later,
James Haddad scored his first goal of the contest to trim the lead to 3-2. The sophomore tied the game in the 70th minute after converting on a penalty kick.
With the score knotted at three apiece and the match appearing to head to overtime, Haddad found the back of the net for his first career hat trick and completed the come-from-behind road victory for John Jay.

Nicholas Towler registered an assist. His brother
Steven Towler picked up the victory after recording three saves.
The Bloodhounds face CCNY on Saturday, October 20, for their final game of the regular season. The game will be played at Randall's Island Field 10 at 6:00 pm.
