The women's soccer team defeated City College (CCNY), 4-0, on Wednesday afternoon at Randall's Island. The Bloodhounds improve to 9-4-1 on the year and 4-1 in CUNYAC. The Beavers drop to 8-5 and 3-2 in the conference.

Anneliese Tucci made a long pass to freshman
Gianna Russo who tapped it past the goalkeeper to give John Jay an early 1-0 advantage. Twenty minutes later, Russo scored her second goal off a pass by freshman
Lily Collins.
In the 30th minute, Russo completed the hat trick to gave the Bloodhounds a 3-0 lead heading into halftime. The East Northport native now has 13 goals in 14 games this season and is currently second in the conference in goals.

Katie Healy found the back of the net in the second half for the Bloodhounds' fourth goal of the match. Collins was credited with her second assist.

Brittany Shaneberger tallied her ninth win of the season after finishing with five saves.
It was John Jay's first win against the Beavers since 2011.
The Bloodhounds travel to Lehman College for their final conference match of the season on Saturday, October 20, at 11:00 am.
