The men's soccer team lost a close one to Western Connecticut State, 2-1, on Wednesday night in Danbury, CT. The Bloodhounds drop to 2-7 on the season. The Colonials improve to 8-2-2 overall.
Sophomore
James Haddad opened the scoring in the 12th minute to give John Jay an early 1-0 lead. It was Haddad's third goal of the 2018 campaign. The Bloodhounds went into halftime with a 1-0 advantage.
Sophomore
Steven Towler finished the period with four saves. Western Connecticut State outshot John Jay by a margin of 9-3.
Approximately 20 minutes into the second half, the Colonials tied the score. With 10 minutes left in regulation, Western Connecticut State scored the game-winning goal to go on to pick up their seventh win out of nine games.
Haddad and freshman
Peter Ceesay registered three shots each. Towler registered eight saves to increase his season total to 56.
The Bloodhounds host Medgar Evers College for a conference match on Saturday, October 6, at 11:00 am. Before the match, the Athletics Department will honor seniors

Talles Moreira as part of senior day.
