The women's tennis team fell to Western Connecticut State, 8-1, on Tuesday afternoon at the USTA National Tennis Center in Flushing, NY. The Bloodhounds drop to 6-3 on the season. The Colonials improve to 2-11. 

John Jay's lone win came at No. 3 doubles when the tandem of freshmen Briana Schmidt and Kellie Murtha came out with an 8-2 victory. 

The Bloodhounds resume conference play when they take on Baruch College on Thursday, October 11, at 4:30 pm at the Binghamton Racquet Club in Edgewater, NJ.
