The women's basketball team lost to Albertus Magnus, 100-42, in the home opener on Wednesday evening at the Doghouse. The Bloodhounds drop to 0-2 on the season. The Falcons improve to 1-0. 

Junior Nyasha Howard came off the bench to pour in a team-high 14 points, a team-high nine rebounds, and a team-high four steals. Junior All'aha Albright finished with nine points and a pair of steals. Sophomores Jessica Gorman and Samantha Martir and freshman Katie Healy grabbed a combined 16 boards. 

John Jay finished 12-for-68 (17.6%) from the floor, 4-for-15 (26.7%) from behind the arc, and 14-for-29 (48.3%) from the free-throw line. 

The Bloodhounds host the College of Mount Saint Vincent on Tuesday, November 20, for a non-conference match at 6:00 pm. The game will be live streamed at www.johnjayathletics.com/watch.
