The #4 women's volleyball team lost a five-set thriller to top seeded Misericordia University, 3-2 (25-22, 25-14, 19-25, 20-25, 15-12), in the opening round of the ECAC Postseason Tournament. The Bloodhounds conclude the season with an overall record of 16-12.
Sophomore
Brianna Geraldo finished the season with her team-leading 11th double-double with a team-high 16 kills and 10 digs. Freshman
Niovis Monsanto finished her freshman campaign with a season-high 14 kills. Junior
Kimberly Rodriguez dished out a team-high 37 assists to go along with three service aces and three total blocks.
Freshman
Stephanie Marcano recorded a team-high 14 digs and four aces. Junior
Mirialis Almanzar totaled five kills, a match-high four total blocks, and three service aces. Freshman
Sophia Wheelan registered six kills and three digs and sophomore
Nicole Aguasvivas added four aces.
John Jay totaled 45 kills, 39 assists, 41 digs, 14 service aces, and 12 total blocks.
This match turned out to be the final one of
Nyla Lloyd-Clarke,
Hualeska Garcia, and
Allison Williams' collegiate career. The Athletics Department wishes them the best of luck in the future!
