The men's basketball team returned from winter break to top Framingham State College, 66-57, on Saturday afternoon at the Doghouse. With the victory, the Bloodhounds improve to 6-3 on the season. The Rams drop to 1-10 overall.

Doug Levy fell two blocks shy of his first collegiate triple-double with a team-high 18 points, a team-high 12 rebounds, and a career-high and game-high eight blocks. The center now has six double-doubles on the year. Senior
Essien Epps recorded 15 points, eight boards, and three assists.

Kyle LaGuardia totaled 21 points, 16 rebounds, and four steals. Sophomore
Romello Ford dished out a game-high four assists.
With the Bloodhounds up by three, Petty drained a three with 15:22 left in the first half. The Rams cut the deficit to four but John Jay responded on a 9-0 run as Levy registered seven points. LaGuardia made two layups and Levy ended the half with a layup as the Bloodhounds went into halftime holding a 30-16 advantage.
Epps opened the second with a basket. Down by 16 with 11:39 left to go, Framingham State followed with seven straight points. Petty ended the run with a three-pointer to put John Jay back up by 12 with 7:24 remaining.
The Rams made a late run but the Bloodhounds held on for the non-conference victory.
John Jay finished 21-for-65 (32.3%) from the field, 4-for-20 (20.0%) from behind the arc, and 20-for-32 (62.5%) from the free-throw line.
The Bloodhounds are back at it tomorrow afternoon when they host Elizabethtown College at 3:00 pm at the Doghouse.
