Men's Volleyball Sweeps Staten Island to Improve to 4-2

Box Score The men's volleyball team swept the College of Staten Island, 3-0 (25-11, 25-12, 25-20), in a non-conference match on Thursday night at the Doghouse. The Bloodhounds improve to 4-2 on the season. The Dolphins drop to 0-1. 

Senior Juan DeJesus led John Jay with a season-high and game-high 13 kills and six digs. Freshman Christopher Rincon finished with a match-high 25 assists, four kills, and two total blocks. Sophomore Krystian Surdel tallied eight kills and five digs. Sophomore Kellvin Ortiz recorded four kills on five attempts. Sophomore Godwin Sequiera and freshman Rintaro Kato finished with four digs each. 

John Jay totaled 35 kills, 28 assists, 27 digs, 10 total blocks, and a pair of service aces. 

The Bloodhounds travel to Boston, MA for a tri-match on Saturday, February 17, against Emerson College at 11:00 am and 1:00 pm at Newbury College.
