The men's basketball team saw their four-game winning streak come to an end when they fell to Baruch College, 68-56, on Friday night at the ARC Arena. The Bloodhounds drop to 12-8 overall and 6-5 in CUNYAC. The Bearcats improve to 15-4 and 9-1 in the conference.

Doug Levy picked up his 14th double-double of the year with a team-high 14 points, game-high 14 boards, and game-high two blocks. Senior
Jerome Petty finished with 13 points. Senior
Essien Epps tallied eight points, eight boards, and dished out a game-high five assists.
With the score tied 5-5, Petty scored the next five points to give the Bloodhounds the lead. Baruch cut the deficit to two with 13:46 left in the half. However, John Jay responded on a 5-0 run to increase their advantage to seven.
The hosts scored the next five points but Levy followed with a three-pointer. With 8:56 remaining, the Bearcats tied the score at 20 apiece. The Bloodhounds regained the lead on jumpers by sophomore
Kyle LaGuardia and Petty.
A three-pointer by Aiken gave John Jay a 31-28 advantage but Baruch ended the period on an 8-0 run to lead 36-31 at the half.
The Bearcats opened the second on a 6-0 run. Down by 10, Epps drained a three and sophomore
Romello Ford made a basket to trim the lead to 44-39. Leading by four, Baruch broke open the game on a 12-0 run.
John Jay went 22-for-58 (37.9%) from the floor, 9-for-30 (30.0%) from behind the arc, and 3-for-10 (30.0%) from the free-throw line.
