The women's basketball team outscored Baruch College, 35-26, in the second half to win by a final score of 55-47 on Friday evening at the ARC Arena. The Bloodhounds sweep the season series and improve to 10-9 overall and 6-5 in the conference. The Bearcats drop to 4-12 and 3-7 in CUNYAC.

All'aha Albright led the offense with a team-high 16 points, eight rebounds, and three steals. Freshman
Katie Healy finished with her fourth straight double-double and ninth overall with 14 points, a game-high 19 boards, team-high three blocks, and a pair of steals.

Karen Rosario fell one point shy of a double-double with nine points and 13 rebounds. Sophomore
Jessica Gorman tallied 10 points, seven rebounds, and three steals.
The Bearcats began the game on a 5-0 run but Rosario responded with four straight points. John Jay trailed 10-6 at the end of the one.
Healy made two baskets in the second to tie the score at 10 apiece. Up by one, Baruch went on a 5-0 run to lead 18-12 with 4:30 left in the half. Trailing by six, Healy scored three points and Gorman had two to cut the deficit to 21-20 at the half.
Down by four, Albright made a free-throw and sank a three-pointer to even the score 25-25. Baruch regained the lead by one but the Bloodhounds responded on a 10-2 run with Albright recording eight points. John Jay went into the final period holding a 39-33 advantage.
Healy and Gorman combined for the first five points to increase the lead to 11. With 5:44 remaining, the hosts cut the deficit to four. However, Rosario responded with a layup. With just under two minutes left to play, John Jay held a 48-45 lead. The Bloodhounds closed out the victory with junior
Nyasha Howard going 4-for-4 from the charity stripe.
John Jay finished 19-for-52 (36.5%) from the field, 4-for-15 (26.7%) from behind the arc, and 13-for-23 (56.5%) from the free-throw line.
