Box Score 2 The women's volleyball team split a non-conference tri-match on Saturday afternoon in Phoenixville, PA. The Bloodhounds fell to Delaware Valley State, 3-0 (25-13, 25-16, 25-14), and then defeated Valley Forge, 3-1 (25-18, 20-25, 25-6, 25-16). John Jay is 4-13 on the season.
In the win over the Patriots of Valley Forge, senior
Mirialis Almanzar finished with a career day. The middle blocker fell two aces shy of a triple-double after notching a career-high and match-high 20 kills, career-best 12 digs, and career-high and game-high eight service aces.
Freshman
Jamarie Silverio recorded a career-high six kills and career-high 11 digs. Senior
Kimberly Rodriguez tallied a game-high 30 assists, six digs, and three kills. Sophomore
Sophia Wheelan added six kills and freshman
Haley Potvin-Sanjurjo finished with a career-high 12 digs.
