The women's volleyball team shutout Medgar Evers, 3-0 (25-4, 25-13, 25-13), on Tuesday night at the Doghouse. The Bloodhounds improve to 5-13 on the season and 2-4 in the CUNY Athletic Conference. The Cougars drop to 0-18 and 0-6 in the conference. 

Senior Mirialis Almanzar finished with a match-high 11 kills and three service aces. Senior Kimberly Rodriguez recorded a game-high 28 assists and game-high five service aces. Freshman Jamarie Silverio picked up six kills, four digs, and three aces. 

Sophomore Niovis Monsanto registered seven kills and four service aces. Freshman Haley Potvin-Sanjurjo added three aces. 

John Jay totaled 34 kills, 30 assists, 20 service aces, and 17 digs. 

The Bloodhounds hit the road for a non-conference match at St. Joseph's College Long Island on Thursday, October 24, at 7:00 pm.
