Women's Soccer Cruises to 8-1 Victory Over York Cardinals

The women's soccer team scored eight goals in an 8-1 rout against York College on a rainy Wednesday afternoon at Randall's Island. The Bloodhounds improve to 7-6 on the year and remain undefeated in conference play at 3-0. The Cardinals fall to 0-9 overall and 0-3 in CUNYAC. 

Sophomore Katie Healy recorded two goals and an assist. The midfielder now leads John Jay in goals with a career-high 10. Sophomore Mirka Villarreal tallied her first two goals of the season. Senior Jaime Bilotti registered a goal and a pair of assists.

Junior Kimberly Robledo finished with a goal and an assist. Junior Kristalina Banuelos tallied her first strike of the season. Freshman Jillian Golden added her sixth goal of the year. 

Junior Erika Estro notched her third win of the season after making one save. She is now tied for the team lead in victories with sophomore Brittany Shaneberger

The Bloodhounds host Wesley College on Saturday, October 12, at 4:30 pm. The match will be played at Manhattanville College in Purchase, NY.
