Box Score The men's basketball team outscored Hunter College, 45-28, in the second half to defeat the Hawks, 69-50, on senior night on Wednesday night at the Doghouse. The Bloodhounds end the regular season with an overall record of 15-10 and 9-7 in the conference. The Hawks finish 6-19 and 4-12 in CUNYAC.
Junior
Doug Levy concluded the regular season with his team leading 16th double-double with a game-high 30 points and game-high 17 rebounds. Senior
Essien Epps tallied 22 points, seven boards, team-high three assists, and a pair of steals. Sophomore
Kyle LaGuardia grabbed seven rebounds.
John Jay finished 25-for-59 (42.4%) from the floor, 9-for-23 (39.1%) from behind the arc, and 10-for-23 (43.5%) from the free-throw line.
Before the game, the Athletics Department honored four-year seniors
Jordan Aiken,
Luciano Cruz-Fernandez,
Essien Epps, and
Jerome Petty as part of Senior Day.
